Torch Applied System
Modified bitumen sheet melted onto the deck with a gas torch. A thick, proven membrane that goes down fast over large flat areas and is easy to inspect once it is on.
About Torch Applied System
The roll is unwound over a primed deck and the underside is melted with a propane torch as it goes, so the bitumen fuses to the substrate and to the previous sheet along every lap. APP and SBS grades cover the range between heat resistance and low-temperature flexibility, and the top sheet can arrive mineral-finished where the membrane is left exposed.
Torch-on is the fastest system per square metre on an open roof or a wide slab, and its 4mm build gives it real puncture resistance during the rest of the works. It is applied in one or two layers depending on the exposure, with all upstands, outlets and corners reinforced before the field sheets are laid.
