Concrete sprayed at velocity onto a prepared face — the fastest way to rebuild a large area, line an excavation or strengthen a structure without formwork.
About Shotcrete
Shotcrete places and compacts in one operation. Because the material arrives at speed it consolidates as it lands, so there is no vibration and no shuttering, and it will follow any profile — a curved wall, an irregular rock face, the underside of a slab. Dry-mix and wet-mix processes are both available, chosen by volume and access.
Steel or synthetic fibres, accelerators and silica fume are added to suit the application. Crews build to the required thickness in layers with rebound controlled, and the finish is either left as sprayed or screeded and floated where appearance matters.
