About Cementitious Mortars
A repair mortar has to do more than fill a hole. It has to bond to the parent concrete, shrink at a similar rate so it does not debond, and match its strength and stiffness closely enough that load transfers across the repair instead of around it. The mortars we supply are polymer-modified and shrinkage-compensated for exactly that.
We specify by depth and orientation: a thixotropic mortar that holds on a soffit without formwork, a flowable micro-concrete poured into shuttering for deep sections, and a fine fairing coat to bring the surface back before coating. Exposed steel is cleaned and primed with a corrosion-inhibiting, zinc-rich coating first.
