About Piling
Where the bearing layer is metres down, load has to be taken to it rather than spread on the surface. Bored piles are drilled and concreted in place and suit large loads and sensitive surroundings; continuous flight auger piles are fast and quiet in consistent ground; driven piles are economical where noise and vibration are acceptable. The choice follows the investigation and the neighbours, in that order.
We handle the piling as one package: setting out, installation, integrity and load testing, cropping down and preparing the heads for the pile caps. Every pile is recorded as it is installed, so what the structural engineer receives at handover is a verified foundation, not an assumption.
