Technical Details

SpECtite HP600 Primer is suitable when used in conjuction with SpECtite HP600.

· Special blend of moisture curing urethane prepolymers in solvent and its chemical similarity to SpECtop coatings ensures good adhesion between the two within the specified overcoat times.
· Acts as a sealer on porous substrate such as concrete and will consolidate a friable substrate such as that of asbestos cement.
· Acts as barrier coat on bituminous substrates and improves adhesion to difficult substrates such as non-ferrous metals.

Colour	Slightly hazy, pale straw liquid
Cure/Drying Time	Slightly tacky film in 2-4 hours
Overcoat time	Min 2 hours, maximum 48 hours. When applying to bituminous substrates allow at least 4 hours before overcoating

Surface preparation
Surfaces must be sound, clean, dry, free from dust, oil, grease and laitance etc. All traces of release agents must be removed. On chalky and dusty surfaces, all loose material must be removed by stiff bristle brushing. Allow 28 days for new concrete to cure and before removing laitance and applying primer.

Roofs
Remove dust, dirt and loose chippings. Kill fungal growth with fungicide and wash off thoroughly. Fill cracks and voids with exterior mastic and cut open felt blisters, apply SpECtite HP600 Primer underneath and tack down. Allow for evaporation of moisture.

Application
SpECtite HP600 Primer can be apply directly from the can by brush or spray. One application will normally suffice but some highly porous substrates may require two.
